About Us Report Cruelty BAS Movie Shop with BAS

We  are in the beginning stages of renovating a home into a shelter in which we have to pay half of the expense. At this time we need all available funds for the renovations and to equip the new shelter.

Then along comes Tinkerbell – our city of Brooklyn has a contract with Greg Miller Animal Control to pick up our strays –if the owner does not claim their lost pet, dogs go to the County Kennel for adoption and cats are euthanized after 3 days. One of our foster moms was at Greg Miller’s to rescue an unclaimed cat when she spotted this scared, tiny white dog. She felt so sorry for it and asked if she can take the dog as well. They said she could not as it was going to the kennel for adoption. The following day they called her to say the little white dog was 8 – 9 years old and would be put down as unadoptable due to her age and if she still wanted her, she can come to get her. She did just that.

Tinkerbell is a healthy, adorable and sweet 5 lb. Maltese mix and requires dental surgery. Her teeth and gums are in despicable shape and she will probably require most, if not all, of her teeth removed.

We cannot afford the expense of the much needed dental surgery at this time and we cannot, in good conscience, adopt her out in that condition.

We are a no kill shelter, so Tinkerbell will stay with us for as long as it takes to get her adopted.

Please help us help Tinkerbell.

Thank you.

UPDATE:

We have more than enough for Tink's surgery - thank you all!
