The Cleveland APL
maintains a staff of three
full-time, certified Humane
Investigators who have
authority to enforce state
and local animal cruelty and
protection laws in
Cuyahoga
County. The APL’s humane
investigations team works
tirelessly to end animal
cruelty and neglect through
education, investigation,
and prosecution of
offenders. Improper care of
animals, including lack of
proper food, water, shelter
and veterinary treatment is
against the law.
